The village of Green Hammerton has now been by-passed by the A59 just 2 miles from the A1 an ideal stop-off if you are on a long journey. It lies approximately 8 miles west of York & 10 east of Harrogate. There is a daily bus service to York. 1 mile from Cattal/Hammerton railway stations with
