The village of Green Hammerton has now been by-passed by the A59 just 2 miles from the A1 an ideal stop-off if you are on a long journey. It lies approximately 8 miles west of York & 10 east of Harrogate. There is a daily bus service to both towns.
York provides the visitor with a wealth of attractions including The Minster, many museums & many many shops. The Spa town of Harrogate is famous for its beautiful gardens, shops, conference centre and of course Bettys Tearoom!
Just up the road is Allerton Castle a beautiful venue for many functions & The Bay Horse is an excellent choice should you be attending a function or wish to accommodate your guests overnight |
